Join our new trainer Deana for a FREE week of training in Spring Texas next week! Deana is one of our newest trainers on the team and is so excited to help women in the Spring area lose weight and get FIT! Here’s a little more about her……
Deana knew at a very young age that she wanted to help people live healthier lives through physical activity. With a background mainly in dance, she became passionate for sports and weight-lifting in her teenaged years and then found her passion for nutrition in college. She studied food science at Texas A&M University and then went on to obtain her Master’s degree in clinical nutrition along with completing a dietetic internship at UT Southwestern School of Health Professions. During graduate school, she worked as a personal trainer and then transitioned to teaching fitness classes. Deana loves motivating others by making challenging workouts fun in a high-energy group setting.
Over the past two years, Deana has worked as a registered dietitian in various healthcare settings, mainly hospitals. This experience has taught her A LOT about the human body and various diseases. After working with patients suffering from chronic illnesses as a result of obesity and poor lifestyle choices, Deana knew that she still wanted to dedicate some of her time to disease prevention.
Deana believes that the key to good health is taking care of the mind, body, and spirit. She currently practices yoga regularly and hopes to one day be able to teach yoga and meditation in addition to her current practices. She believes that our society spends too much time plugged in to technology and that stress from work and life ultimately take a strong toll on our bodies. She hopes that those who come to her boot camp will find some relief from their stressors. Come join Deana’s camp and start your journey to living a healthier and happier life!
